About Us

BayCare Health System is currently affiliated with the following Florida Universities and Colleges of Pharmacy below either by providing opportunities for student learning experiences, internship programs, as well as offering resident teaching certificates. Each year BayCare Health-System precepts hundreds of pharmacy students from across these various pharmacy training programs during their Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) and/or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotations. Many BayCare programs also have affiliations with schools of pharmacy outside of the state of Florida. Please contact individual sites to learn more information about their other affiliations.

A major milestone! Today, BayCare celebrated the topping out of its first hospital in Manatee County with placement of the final steel beam. Expected to open in 2028, the hospital will expand access to emergency, maternity, specialty and hospital care for the growing community.
