Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because I loved the experiences that I had during my APPE rotations. I wanted to continue building my clinical judgement, leadership skills and to become a trustworthy team member in an interdisciplinary team. Additionally, pharmacy is constantly evolving with many significant achievements in the past years. As the profession has grown, I need to develop the mindset as well as the skillset to teach myself to grow alongside it.

Why did I choose Winter Haven Hospital at BayCare?
From the moment I met the Winter Haven Hospital’s team, the welcoming environment has made me want to be a part of this organization. I chose WHH for its various learning opportunities as well as the philosophy in striving for excellence. The diverse clinical rotations with advanced levels would be challenging and invaluable for my growth to become a clinical pharmacist. Lastly, moving across the country from Oregon to Florida is a one-in-a-lifetime experience for me. I’m excited to explore the local areas and get to make new friends.
