Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency to further develop my practice as a clinical pharmacist.  During my time as a PGY1 resident I was able to take rotations in general pediatrics, PICU, and NICU and these rotations solidified my interest in pediatric pharmacy. I hope by the end of this residency year I am better able to navigate through clinical decision making for pediatric patients and increase my exposure to different areas of pediatric pharmacy.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital at BayCare?
After completing my first year of residency I knew St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital would be a great fit for me. I choose St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital for many reasons including the welcoming culture. In addition, I knew I would be learning from knowledgeable preceptors and I would be welcomed as part of the interdisciplinary team. St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital offers a variety of learning opportunities and I know during my time here I will have the opportunity to learn and grow as a well-rounded clinical pediatric pharmacist.
