Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency to continue my training beyond pharmacy school. I had a fulfilling experience during my APPE rotations, where I worked with supportive mentors who paved the way for me to excel, and I wanted to continue to do so in the capacity of a resident. A residency program’s rigorous yet rewarding structure would give me a unique skill set to pursue my career goals.

Why did I choose Morton Plant Hospital at BayCare?
My positive experiences as a student within the BayCare family reinforced what I looked for in a residency program, one that offers diverse patient care experiences and a supportive environment to help me achieve my goals. With a wide range of clinical rotations and a strong reputation for training pharmacists, I knew Morton Plant Hospital would offer me a worthwhile learning experience in my areas of interest, such as infectious disease. I could see the dedication and support from the team during my interview, and it was clear that everyone wanted to see me succeed.
