Why did I choose to complete a residency?
During my pharmacy school career I had the opportunity to work as an intern alongside many clinical pharmacist preceptors. Performing clinical interventions and being an active participant in our patients’ care really pushed me to pursue hospital pharmacy. I knew that a residency would provide personal and professional development while allowing myself the experience required to become a competent and confident clinical pharmacist.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
I was drawn to St. Joseph’s Hospital – South following a clinical rotation during my second year of pharmacy school. All of the clinical pharmacists were so knowledgeable and the environment among staff members truly resembled that of a family.  I was familiar with the company culture of BayCare, thanks to my time as an intern at Morton Plant Hospital, and knew that a BayCare facility would be the best place to call home.
