Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to pursue residency to expand my clinical knowledge and be at the forefront of patient care. Residency has pushed me to advance my professional goals and grow more everyday into a well-rounded and knowledgeable clinician. Throughout PGY-1 residency, I felt inspired to pursue further post-graduate training as I experienced different areas of patient care. In particular, working as a part of an interdisciplinary team to treat resilient pediatric patients empowered me to pursue PGY-2 in pediatric pharmacy. Every day I learn something new, which has been truly the most rewarding experience of my career so far!

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital at BayCare?
After completing my PGY-1 residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital, it was an easy decision to choose to stay on for PGY-2 at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital (SJCH) at BayCare. The inviting culture of the department, the variety of acute care patient experiences offered, and the ability to be trained under board certified pharmacists are all reasons why I wanted to be a part of the SJCH family at BayCare. I have become an integral part of the department’s patient care services, which has helped to foster my personal and professional growth. I feel extremely thankful for all of the opportunities I have been awarded while at BayCare!
