Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because I have been fortunate to see first-hand the confidence pharmacists have clinically that undergo residency training. My goal is to become the best pharmacist and clinician possible through embracing and overcoming the challenges that are associated with residency. As a resident, I am eager to learn valuable leadership skills through research, project management, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
St. Joseph’s is truly a special environment. Even during the residency application process, every team member involved was incredibly welcoming and personal, which resonated with me and left a lasting impression. I was extremely impressed with the backgrounds and credentials of the pharmacy leadership team, and I am excited by the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to lead a pharmacy team of my own. Given my administrative interests, the welcoming culture, and countless opportunities for growth, St. Joseph’s was an easy decision for me.
