Justin Jimmy

Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because I love what I do. I am passionate about my career and want to grow my clinical judgement, professional competency, and leadership skills as a clinical pharmacist. I believe residency will help me accelerate towards these goals with the guidance, support and expertise of veteran team members. Those reasons alone would have made it a no-brainer. Pharmacy, however, is constantly evolving and a pharmacy residency can provide opportunities to innovate and integrate new ideas. To refine and revamp the standards. By working in an integrated team of various specialists and leaders, you truly get the chance to be a trailblazer to help defy the expectations of a pharmacist.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
St. Joseph’s hospital has a legacy of cultivating future leaders, proficient clinicians, and accomplished professionals. The distinguished residency has constantly and consistently challenged the status quo and reached for new heights. I knew that the possibility to add to the program’s legacy would be the opportunity of a lifetime. The program is but the sum of all its individual pieces and the individuals that make up the BayCare organization as a whole, share the same values of—trust, dignity, respect, responsibility, and excellence that I hold near and dear to my heart.
