Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to pursue a residency in order to build upon the foundational knowledge that I gained during my time in pharmacy school. This will allow me to become a stronger pharmacist, capable of providing excellent care to patients found within the inpatient setting. Not only will it help build my clinical competency but will also provide me with the proper skills to work as part of an inter-professional team. This type of experience will allow me to pursue my goals as a future acute care pharmacist.
Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital North at BayCare?
I chose St. Joseph’s North after experiencing an exceptional and rewarding ICU rotation during my time as pharmacy student there. The pharmacy staff was very welcoming, and they were invested in my learning throughout my rotation. St. Joseph’s Hospital North’s program lined up with my interest in the field of pharmacy and provided an appropriate environment to develop my growth.
