Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because I thoroughly enjoyed my clinical rotations as well as my internship in the hospital setting during pharmacy school. Pharmacists play a very important role in the care of every patient in the hospital every single day, so it is important for us to be fully trained and aware of what our role entails. I knew that I would be able to gain the skill set required to become a successful, competent, and confident clinical pharmacist by completing residency training upon graduation from pharmacy school.
Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital-North at BayCare?
I chose St. Joseph’s Hospital- North at Baycare because I finished my residency interview feeling as though every single pharmacist I spoke to wanted to teach and support me in my role as a new pharmacist. On top of feeling immediately welcomed, I chose St. Joseph’s Hospital- North because it offers exposure to a wide variety of medical areas.
