Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency to further develop the clinical skills and knowledge I gained throughout pharmacy school. While completing my advance practice pharmacy experience rotations, I quickly realized my interest lies in ambulatory care as my goal is to have a direct impact on patient outcomes. Residency training will allow me to learn how to best advocate for and serve my patients.

Why did I choose Turley Family Health Center at BayCare?
The residency program through the Turley Family Health Center has an emphasis on interprofessional collaboration with pharmacists, medical residents, and other healthcare professionals. I was drawn to this program because as a family medicine clinic, there is a broad range of patients with various disease states providing diverse learning opportunities. The values of BayCare, trust, dignity, respect, responsibility, and excellence, are reflected in the culture of the Turley Family Health Center which is an ideal model for how I intend to practice as a clinical pharmacist.
