Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a PGY-1 residency for the opportunity to develop into a confident and trusted clinician. I have admired how integral and respected pharmacists are when working alongside other health care professionals, and I’ve always aspired to be one of those pharmacists. Pursuing a residency will provide me with the skills necessary to reach my ultimate goal of becoming a well-rounded clinical pharmacist who positively impacts the patients that I serve. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside an amazing pharmacy team and expand my clinical acumen in order to further optimize patient care.

Why did I choose Winter Haven Hospital at BayCare?
Winter Haven Hospital felt like home from the second I stepped onto campus. I remember feeling so welcomed by the pharmacy team. I immediately saw WHH as a place for me to grow and develop into a health care professional with various interdisciplinary experiences. With the multitude of rotational opportunities, initiatives for research, and passionate and individualized patient centered care, I knew I was making the right decision of joining the team at Winter Haven Hospital at Baycare. I love how challenging the learning environment is with so many knowledgeable and dedicated preceptors to guide me along the way. I’m looking forward to gaining so many meaningful experiences and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team.
