Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to pursue a pharmacy residency because I want to be actively involved in a multidisciplinary team with a direct role to optimize patient care. Residency will allow me to further develop the clinical knowledge and skills needed to confidently practice on my own while having a meaningful impact on patient outcomes throughout my career as a pharmacist.
Why did I choose Morton Plant Hospital at BayCare?
I initially chose to apply to Morton Plant Hospital because the program offered rotations in my clinical interests including critical care, cardiology, and emergency medicine. After leaving my interview, I was determined to spend my residency year training at Morton Plant Hospital because every person I met in the pharmacy was welcoming and supportive throughout the entire process. Between my clinical interests and the warm greeting of the pharmacy team, I was certain that choosing Morton Plant Hospital to complete residency training was right for me.
