Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership in order to build upon my passion for leadership while pursuing my goal of becoming a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. As a resident, my desire is to further develop my pharmacy skills through various patient care, administrative, and operational opportunities.
Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
When applying to residencies, I wanted a program that would provide strong clinical and administrative experiences, a supportive learning environment with dedicated preceptors, and a master’s program that would complement the residency program. St. Joseph’s Hospital not only exceeded my expectations in all these key components, but it also offers a multitude of managerial experiences and longitudinal projects that will allow me to emerge from this program prepared to serve in a wide array of pharmacy leadership roles. Throughout the recruitment process, I felt the care and compassion from every team member that I encountered and was left inspired by the transparency and authenticity exhibited by the leadership team. It is evident that St. Joseph’s Hospital is invested in the success of each of its residents and I truly feel that it is the perfect program to foster my growth over the next two years.
