Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because I want to enhance my knowledge and skills in the field of pharmacy and further develop my clinical expertise. A residency program provides a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced pharmacists and healthcare professionals in a variety of patient care settings. Additionally, a residency allows me to explore specialized areas of pharmacy practice and develop proficiency in areas such as critical care, infectious diseases, or oncology.

Why did I choose St. Anthony’s Hospital at BayCare?
I chose St. Anthony’s Hospital for my PGY-1 residency because of the numerous rotations and opportunities the program offers. This program will challenge me to develop my leadership skills and prepare me to contribute to the highest quality of patient care. When I first met the pharmacy team at St. Anthony’s, I knew this program would be the perfect fit for me. The pharmacist’s foster an environment of open communication and collaboration, encouraging me to actively participate in discussions and providing opportunities for interdisciplinary learning. Overall, I believe that training at St. Anthony’s Hospital will provide me with invaluable experiences, professional connections, and the necessary skills to excel as a clinical pharmacist.
