Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a pharmacy residency because I wanted a year to build my skills and knowledge set needed to succeed as a pharmacist. Having the guidance and exposure to various aspects of pharmacy would help me to get a well-rounded education so that one day, I can be a well-rounded pharmacist!
Why did I choose Winter Haven Hospital at BayCare?
As a student on APPE rotations at Winter Haven Hospital, I worked closely with pharmacists whose diverse experiences contributed greatly to my personal, professional, and academic growth. Everyone at WHH supported my development, encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone, and helped instill confidence in my clinical abilities. I knew this would carry over during a PGY-1 residency, and I knew as a student this is where I wanted to be!
