Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete an HSPAL pharmacy residency to advance my career and enhance my skills in healthcare management. This specialized program offers a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on the intricacies of health system pharmacy practice, leadership development, and effective administration. By immersing myself in this residency, I aim to gain hands-on experience in leading interprofessional teams, managing medication distribution systems, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. I am excited to learn from experienced mentors and pharmacy experts, leveraging their guidance to develop expertise in areas such as financial management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. Through this residency, I am confident that I will acquire the necessary tools to thrive in administrative roles and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within the dynamic healthcare landscape.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
Staying at St. Joseph’s Hospital was an easy decision for me simply because of the commitment to exceptional patient care BayCare provides. As a previous pharmacy student intern, I now understand how unwavering BayCare is when it comes to the hospital’s focus on excellence in clinical outcomes, advanced medical technologies, and compassionate care. The pharmacy team at St. Joseph’s is dedicated to life-long learning and provides an environment where pharmacists have the ability to practice at the top of their license. After working along side pharmacists, nurses, doctors and many others at BayCare, I can confidently say there was no better place to complete my pharmacy residency training than at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
