Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to pursue a PGY1 residency to expand my clinical knowledge and to become a more confident healthcare professional. I have a strong passion for patient care and a desire to make an impact in the field of pharmacy. Completing a residency provides me with a unique opportunity to explore various areas of practice and gain a comprehensive hands-on experience. Through this residency, I aim to cultivate a strong foundation for a successful career as a clinical pharmacist and contribute to the advancement of patient-centered care.

Why did I choose St. Anthony’s Hospital at BayCare?
I chose to complete a PGY1 residency at St. Anthony’s Hospital because the program offers a variety of acute care rotations that align with my career aspirations. The many rotation options will also provide me with a well-rounded understanding of hospital practice and enable me to gain experience in multiple areas. The program’s emphasis on mentorship and collaboration ensures that I will receive guidance from experienced preceptors and have the chance to collaborate with a network of health care professionals. Most important to me, I instantly felt welcomed and valued at SAH. Residency is a challenging year and to be a part of a team filled with uplifting pharmacist who will challenge me while also supporting me through this experience will allow me to thrive as a resident.
