Why did I choose to complete a residency?
A pharmacy residency provides the opportunity to gain experience across diverse practice settings while strengthening my clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. I also value the opportunity to engage in quality improvement initiatives and research, as these experiences are integral to advancing pharmacy practice and improving patient outcomes. By learning alongside experienced preceptors and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, I am confident that I will further develop my clinical judgment, professional confidence, and leadership skills, ultimately preparing me to provide high-quality, patient-centered care as a well-rounded pharmacist.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
I had the privilege of completing several APPE rotations at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where I experienced firsthand a culture built on teamwork, mentorship, and continuous learning. The pharmacists I worked with were genuinely invested in my professional growth, continually encouraging me to improve each day while providing the support and guidance needed to succeed. Those experiences solidified my desire to pursue residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital because I know I will continue to be challenged, supported, and inspired to grow both personally and professionally.
