Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a PGY2 residency to pursue a specialty in Ambulatory Care. During my PGY1 residency at Morton Plant Hospital, I had a fulfilling experience being involved in the continuity of care in rotations such as Ambulatory Care, Transitions of Care, Long Term Acute Care, and Internal Medicine. I look forward to working as a trusted member of the healthcare team and enhancing patient outcomes in diabetes management, antimicrobial stewardship, and guideline-directed medical therapies. The rigorous yet rewarding structure of a PGY2 residency program would provide me with a unique skill set to pursue my career goals.
Why did I choose Turley Family Medical Center at BayCare?
My positive experiences as a student and resident within BayCare have reinforced what I look for in a residency program – one that offers diverse patient care experiences and a supportive environment to help me achieve my goals. With an extensive patient population and an integrated healthcare team that includes physicians, medical residents, pharmacists, and medical assistants, I knew Turley Family Health would prepare me to become a well-rounded clinician. I saw firsthand the dedication and support from the healthcare team during my rotation and interview, which solidified that this program is the right fit for me.
