Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because I wanted to continue to expand my clinical knowledge and work in interprofessional settings to provide the best patient care. I knew that residency would challenge me and allow me to grow as a confident clinical pharmacist to reach my professional goals.
Why did I choose Winter Haven Hospital at BayCare?
I had the opportunity of completing APPE rotations at other BayCare hospitals, during my time there everyone I worked with was invested in my learning and made sure I got the most out of my experiences. It was then that I knew I wanted to stay within the BayCare Health System. I chose Winter Haven Hospital because it had everything I was looking for within a program such as a diverse work environment and a wide variety of both outpatient and inpatient rotations. Additionally, during my interview everyone was welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. By the end of the entire process, I knew Winter Haven Hospital was the perfect place for me.
